This is an excellent trail system to see the Swiss Alps. The views are always amazing and the variety of terrain made it a fun adventure. We had a tough time at Becs de Bosson because there was a band playing up there and they overbooked the hut. But other than that, many options to shorten the days if needed and truly a dream vacation for me.
Why
Wanted to do a destination run/hike trip through Switzerland.
Advice
Come prepared for all types of weather. Make sure you have good navigation using the the gpx file if you're doing it without a guide (such as Gaia.) The maps provided would not give you enough information.
Highlight
The run from St. Niklaus to Fluhalp Hut. There was so much variety to the terrain...caves, bridges, long flowy run trails, the Matterhorn in the distance! And the hut was glamping...so beautiful and comfortable!
