Grossglockner UltraTrail
The three-day Grossglockner Ultratrail event , or GGT, runs around Austria’s highest mountain, the 3,798 meter high Grossglockner. The race starts and finishes in the town of Kaprun. The GGUT 110 km course travels 110 km with 6,500 meters of elevation gain, leading through seven valleys and along 14 glaciers, surrounded by 300 peaks over 3000 meters high. This race can also be run as a relay.
In addition, GGT hosts the shorter Osttirol Trail (84 km, 5000m), the Glockner Trail (57 km, 3500m), the Weissee Gletscherwelt Trail (35 km, 1500m), the Kaprun Scenic Trail (16 km, 1,000m), and two children’s runs.
