Description
This stage race in the Maritime Alps was set up by Katie Schide and Germain Grangier who want to share the fun and comraderie of running trail races with a partner. Teams of two run a giant loop, with a stop at overnight camp in the ancient village of Gourdon. When runners arrive here at the end of the first day, tents are set up and massages, beers, dinner and music are all provided!
Starting at Tourrettes-sur-Loup, 20 minutes from Nice, day one is 55-60km with 3500m of ascent. Day 2 is smaller with 30km to cover and 1500m of ascent to bring you back to Tourrettes-sur-Loup. The route passes through beautiful sections of the southernmost Alps including gorges, some technical Via Ferrata sections and expansive views of the Mediterranean.
