Run the Alps Rendez-Vous in Boulder and the Bay Area

Nov 7, 2021

Salut from Chamonix, France!

Pssst…. Run the Alps is going on tour!

Okay, it’s just a two-stop mini-tour, but it’s still great to be back traveling in the US and meeting our friends, alumni and future guests.

Here’s the scoop!

Boulder, Colorado
Date: Thursday, November 11, 5:30 pm Tor des Geants show, 6:30 dinner
Location: The Westend Plaza, 1035 Pearl Street, 4th Floor
What’s Happening: Join Run the Alps Founder Doug Mayer for photos and a talk about Italy’s 350-kilometer long Tor des Geants. Doug has completed Tor twice and is writing a book about one of the world’s most dramatic trail endurance events.  After, we’ll head downstairs for dinner at Kitchen Next Door. (Appetizers are on us!) It will be great to have a chance to visit with friends and talk trail running in the Alps. Reserve a place now by dropping us a note.

Bay Area, California
Date: Friday, November 19, 6:00 pm
Location: Tamalpie Restaurant, 477 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley
What’s Happening: Join Doug and friends for a chance to get together, talk trail running and hear the latest trail running news from around the Alps. This will be a casual, family style dinner with a cost of $30 per person.  Reserve a place now by dropping us a note. The deadline for reservations is Monday, November 15th.

Spaces are limited! To reserve a place, please drop us a note. We are keeping both events casual and low-key, with a limit of 20 guests. So, we expect them each to reach capacity quickly.

2021 was such a great year for us in the Alps. After a year off, both guests and guides were eager to be back trail running through the Alps. There was a special energy and a heartfelt sense of gratitude. Here are a few photos from our trips this past summer. Enjoy– and we hope to see you in Boulder or the Bay Area!
