Here in Chamonix, France, in the heart of the Alps, we’re all wearing masks. It’s a sign of the times.
At Run the Alps, we’re planning our full range of trips for 2021. We’ve made changes to be as flexible as possible, including reduced cancellation costs up to 90 days before your trip and no-hassle rescheduling.
If government Covid-19 policies prevent you from traveling, we’ll refund all your money, minus any out-of-pocket expenses we incur. (Please see our terms and conditions details here.)
We’re also working with Dr. John Anderson to help us develop a safe and effective Covid policy. “Doc Johnny” is the head of Tahoe Wilderness Medicine, an Emergency Room Physician at a busy Level II trauma center in Reno, Nevada, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. As it happens, he’s also a remarkable trail runner, having finished 7th in 2019 in one of the world’s hardest races, the 450-km Tor des Glaciers race in northern Italy. This, and all his other Alps trail running experience, further qualifies John as the best person to advise us on trail running here safely.
We’ll be sharing more about our procedures and policies very soon. In the meantime, here’s a bit more about the approach we’re taking.
As always, we’re here if you have questions. Please reach out!
We look forward to seeing many of you next summer!
