Anna McKenna
I grew up on the beautiful beaches of Australia and discovered the world of trail running in 2020, and it quickly became the driving force that now motivates me to explore new challenges and live in different parts of the world. I first visited Chamonix in the summer of 2022 and fell in love with the beautiful mountains and vibrant community. Since then, I have made it a point to spend summers working in Chamonix, embracing the breathtaking trails and connecting with like-minded individuals who share love for the outdoors.
When I am not managing The Hub, I am pursuing my own trail running aspirations and entering into races spanning Australia, America and Europe. I represent the brands that support me in my journey.
You will find me having coffee with friends or family, going to the beach or enjoying a hot yoga class.
I am still learning the art of downhill running in the mountains!
In the Chamonix valley, my go-to route is to run up to Refuge Bellachat and across to Le Brévent and back down Le Lacet, a switch-backing trail that runs next to the town’s Vertical Kilometer. The view is incredible and you can often find wild blueberries if you’re there at the right time.
