Reviews of Run the Alps Guided and Self-Guided Trips.
Working with Run the Alps was an amazing experience. We decided to run the TMB for our 50th birthday and not much planning on our part. The Run the Alps team took care of everything and made the adventure easy to do with the lodging, routes, transports, restaurant suggestions and some on the fly consulting and rerouting due to weather. It was an amazing trip with some hard running!!
This trip far exceeded my expectations. I’ve been home 2 1/2 weeks and I’m still on cloud 9. The guides are exceptional and made this trip the wonderful experience it was. I have never in my life been so “unplugged” that I didn’t even know what day of the week it was – that in itself speaks volumes for how amazing this trip was. It was emotional, spiritual, physical and magical. Thank you Run the Alps for making this a trip I will never forget.
Holy wow. This trip did not disappoint! We got a very special experience in a truly extraordinary part of the world, and we were well taken care of. Run the Alps really spoiled us for any other vacation ever again – the food, the accommodations, the routes, all of it was truly spectacular. I have run in some cool places, but having the experience curated by experts is definitely the way to go.
I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Run the Alps. I did a self guided trip with my 2 best friends in the Swiss Alps and it was an adventure of a life time! The app was excellent with the overview of each day, we download the routes in Gaia before our trip, and we were able to contact Run the Alps with a few questions along the way through What’s App. We wanted a challenge and we got it, all while experiencing the charm of Switzerland!
This was a great trip. Our accommodations were consistently nice and the planning by RTA was excellent.
Really enjoyed this trip. The logistics were absolutely great! Everything happened as we were told and bags always arrived. Our coldest and wettest day was coming into Les Chapieux. We had to wait many hours for the taxi to Bourg St. Maurice, and no cell phone service to call and reschedule. The restaurant staff did call for us but they were only able to move the time up a little. the taxi pickup time is definitely something to think about and try to get closer to when you might arrive.
First, Stephanie and the team at Run The Alps were amazing! They answered all of our questions, gave us tips to get us through, and were responsive while in the middle of the trail. Great job!
Via Valais was tough. We did our best to prepare for the elevation gain living in the Southeast U.S. but it made it difficult to prepare for the elevation gain and declines each day. That being said, we got through the stages with extra breaks and a little less running than we planned on.
An absolutely amazing trip with Paul and Kris and the group. We pushed each other and ran as a team. We have all grown from this experience
What an incredible week with Run The Alps & guide Bruno!! The Dolomites are dramatic and breathtaking – I feel so lucky to have the health & fitness to experience it. The food & lodging along the way were wonderful and well coordinated. The whole trip overall was simply amazing!!
I had an exceptional time with Run the Alps on my UTMB tour. Expertly organized, easy to follow maps and app, and excellent support when/if needed.
An incredible experience with amazing women, expert guides, and the most beautiful chalets! Despite the weather we had the best time on challenging routes, stopping at wonderful refuges, and making the most of our time!
The Via Valais tour was amazing. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for an adventure through the Alps.
We had a great time running through the Bernese Oberland! The views were amazing, the trails pleasantly challenging and our overall experience unforgettable. Run the Alps made everything so easy to navigate and were so responsive to our questions throughout the whole process.
Stunning views, beautiful inns, and friendly hikers along the way. An experience you’ll remember forever.
The experience of completing this tour was so rewarding. Every challenge came with an exceptional reward even when we ran into bad weather including snow and wind. The views are breathtaking and some things you could never tire of looking at. Accommodations, meals, luggage transfers were all seamless which left it easier to getting from point to point each day.
Everything about this trip was perfection. The hotels, food, transportation, the daily routes and the guides were the absolute best. It was very challenging and stunningly beautiful.
I chose Run the Alps for a self guided 10 day trip for Tour du Mont Blanc. From my initial interaction via the chat feature of their web site with Doug to my signing up for the tour and asking a lot of questions from Stephanie, the Run the Alps team had been very responsive and very helpful, which is essential due to all the logistics from lodging to food to the routes for the day. They also had suggestions for every day’s route in case severe weather occurs.
Our self-guided Via Valais tour through the Swiss Alps was the trip of a lifetime! The logistics were well sorted by Run the Alps so we could focus on running and enjoying our surroundings and our group. The accommodations were each unique and wonderful, the maps and app were super helpful and the tour was well laid out. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
This is my second time running in the Bernese Oberland. It is a wonderfully unique area, with a combination of tourist attractions and an insight into life in the alps for the locals. The trip was perfectly planned, all the bookings worked out, the app and navigation were terrific. I ran with my 18 year old son and we loved every minute of it.
Truly great tour in all aspects – both on- and off- the trails
Our time in the alps was absolutely amazing! My wife and I had so much fun on the routes that were given to us, and their app made it extremely easy to make sure you were going the right way. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a more adventurous vacation in a stunning location!
This trip did not disappoint! Led by guide Giles Ruck, this was one of the most entertaining, picturesque, and active vacations ever. The strategic alternating of fast-packing to huts followed by nights at hotels, offered 8 days of strenuous fun and breathtaking scenery.
This trip was amazing from the start! The hotels were nice with some very delicious food and beverages. The huts were fun places to relax and get to know my fellow runners after a long day of trail running and hiking!
This trip was truly incredible and the best way to start my honeymoon. My partner and I had so much fun training and getting prepared for this trip, and then were blown away by the beauty. Run the Alps gave us all the information we needed to guide ourselves on these runs, in a detailed and clear manner. They went above and beyond to support us when something came up on the trip and we are already talking about our next trip!
Alistair was a terrific guide who displayed empathy and expertise in all facets of the trip. He also outlined terrific options as our days progressed. Yassine was a great addition as he offered lots of humor and unique insights and stories about the trail running world. The food and overnight stops were also varied and welcoming. I love the history that unfolds in some of the hotels.
Our experience could not have been more perfect! We had great weather which made the beauty of the Alps even more amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job which made our experience even better. We loved every hotel we stayed at and some had saunas and hot tubs which were a plus! Every hotel had delicious food and the breakfast buffets had everything you could possibly want. The restaurants our guide took us to were also top notch.
This Run the Alps tour was spectacular. Every person we dealt with was knowledgeable and friendly. Quick response time on all questions and/or concerns. Lodging and meals were better than we anticipated. And, we were in the Alps!!! Probably the most beautiful place on earth.
Highly recommend!
This trip had it all – multi-star hotels and high mountain huts; flow-y high meadow trails with goats or cows, incredible glacial moraines, tarn lakes, and spectacular col crossings and mountain views every day; magic taxis & buses & gondolas when the legs needed them most; tarts, raclette, rösti, a 5-course meal or two, and terrific people – hikers, runners, hotel staff, old lady in the window with her cat wishing us ‘Courage!’, and old and new Run the Alps friends at the Hub!
This trip was absolutely phenomenal. The sites were incredible, the trails were amazing, and Run the Alps was very responsive and helpful when we needed them.
Running the Alps was an experience of a lifetime! The beauty, the serenity, the challenge and the guide were all spectacular! Paul was everything we had hoped for and more – knowledgeable, patient, funny and entertaining all at the same time. Experiencing this type of adventure was both mentality and physically challenging but in such a good way. 1000% recommend this trip, this company and Paul!
My first trip overseas was a great experience. Our guide Paul took us on a journey that I will never forget. We had challenging runs and hikes, fantastic food and accommodations, and learned a lot about new places and cultures.
Thank you for Run the Alps for such a great experience! If we were an orchestra, the mountain was the speechless, spectacular concert hall and our guide (Gary !!) was the incredible conductor, leading us all together through ups and downs, sharing his knowledge and making us appreciative of every single minute of this unique moment. Simply looking forward to do it again !
My husband and I booked the Tour du Mont Blanc trip with Run the Alps for our anniversary. This trip had been a dream for many years and the experience exceeded our expectations. The communication and details were excellent the entire time. I would love to do another trip with Run the Alps in the future.
I enjoyed the trip and I will definitely consider returning. Our guide, Siebrig, was really great and made every effort to make the trip enjoyable. The mountains were wonderful. The hotels and food were excellent. We had very nice group of people. However, the first 3 days were much too light – the group could do more. First 2 days should have been like the last two with transfer/rest day in between. For context, I run about 5.5mins/km for 10km.
In summary, this trip fully exceeded my high expectations. While the run/hike was arduous, it was all doable because of the RunTheAlps team, most specifically our guide Paul. What a difference maker!
We enjoyed all the views, the climbs & decents, and every step along the way. The organization took away worries and handled all of the details before and during the adventure. I highly recommend this team for a fabulous adventure-vacation.
The app was amazing and saved me more than once, Consulted it often when signs not clear or just for reassurance. The hotels and the transfers were just what was needed. There were no glitches. Rooms and food as advertised. The What’sapp helped my partner when her flight home got cancelled.
Then the hike itself was just amazing!!!
Don’t hesitate to use Run the Alps if you are going to circumvent Mount Blanc. They did a fabulous job from when we signed up until when we left.
Empowered. Inspired. And truly PROUD of myself. Those are the best ways I can describe how I felt after my Run the Alps trip. While I was training for the trip, in the back of my mind, I found myself wondering, “Can I really do this?” But with the support of our guides, Kris and David, and the camaraderie of my fellow runners, this trip helped me discover that I can do far more than I give myself credit for. If I could give this tour 10 stars, I would. Absolutely unforgettable experience!
This is the perfect tour for any experienced ultra runner seeking challenging terrain each day in the remote Italians alps and getting experience on the iconic Tor des Geants race course.
I had a great time on a 5 day self-guided Haute Route express. Run The Alps booked all my accommodations for me and provided me with GPX routes to follow each day. They were very responsive during my trip through a Whatsapp-based help line. I’d highly recommend this trip if you want to see some amazing scenery in the Alps!
Run the Alps were able to put together an express TMB for me in with very short notice. Planning and communication before I left was fantastic. I was a little nervous about doing it on my own but I needn’t have worried as all I needed to do was turn up and enjoy myself as everything was organised and seamless. I used the app on the tour which was really useful. I had the most wonderful 4 days in the mountains and it was over too soon. I can’t wait to come back and do another one.
More hiking than I thought (those Alps are steep in places!), and suitably paced stops for coffee and lunch made this way easier than just running a continuous distance. Guide (Siebrig) was excellent & knowledgeable, always making sure we were all ok. Huts and restaurants were good – especially in Zermatt where the food was amazing. Even more fun than I thought it would be and the scenery is amazing – the routes are well chosen. Would recommend.
What a fantastic way to experience Switzerland while running through the majestic Alps. Run the Alps does all the planning, which makes for a seamless and very relaxing running trip. They offer support along the way, and many helpful tips via a special app, gps files and written maps/guides. We truly enjoyed our holiday and l would highly recommend booking a trip with a Run the Alps. The Bernese Oberland traverse is truly spectacular!
Simply wow, the “run the alps “ crew is almost as impressive as the scenery itself. Super happy to have been guided around Chamonix and Zermatt by Siebrig a wonderful guide who kept us moving though stunning landscapes via a series of incredible places to eat but also gave a real insight into the alpine experience (plus a marmot joke I’ll never forget) . What I learned about myself is priceless
We spent six days trail running TMB, which made for some big days, but we had nothing to worry about except running because Run the Alps took care of EVERYTHING. From our first email to the final day of our trip, Stephanie and the team exceeded our expectations. We picked a self-guided trip and we couldn’t have done it without Run the Alps. I have never had a trip run as smooth as this one did. I highly recommend trail running TMB and I highly recommend you do it with Run the Alps!
The Run the Alps Bernese Oberland tour exceeded my expectations. The location is magical. The experience you have with your group and guides is memorable. The coordination of lodging and meals is exceptional and affords you time to relax, run, and have fun. As a slower runner, I felt supported by the guides and group. I look forward to returning to Switzerland to see this area again.
Run the Alps did an amazing job of coordinating our group of 15 on a 6 day trek through the Dolomites. They provided an app with all the information one would need and helped coordinate any logistics that arose. I highly recommend this group to anyone hoping to spend some quality time in the Dolomites.
This trip was as challenging as it was beautiful.
I am so amazed by the itinerary Run the Alps put together for me. I had another self guided tour paid for fall through within three weeks of my trip. Ian with Run the Alps was able to accommodate me such short notice and set me up with the best week ever!! The hotels/rifugio stay was amazing, the routes were incredible, and this is truly an experience I’ll never forget!
We had a private guided trip for a milestone birthday with friends. Run the Alps took care of all of the details so we could just enjoy ourselves!
Ian and his team did an awesome job organizing this tour of the Dolomites for our group of 15. They highlighted every detail beginning with training, gear, packing, and travel options through to logistics, shuttling, water and food options during our runs. He accommodated travel changes as they came up, and helped us with alternate routes one day when weather was a problem. It was truly incredible! Thank you Run the Alps!
We had an amazing and physically challenging trip. It is amazing what our bodies can do! We ran and hiked places we’d never imagine seeing. What a great trip. It was planned perfectly and Ian was super responsive if we needed anything at all. Thank you!
We could not have had a better guide. Siebrig was able to accommodate all of our different needs and running strengths. We had amazing meals and she was able to shift the plan she we always were doing what was appropriate for the weather. It was a magical experience.
Once again the run the alps team put together a well organised trip. The ability to meet with the team in chamonix and get up to date advice was also great. This one was very weather dependent. Having done TMB and champery I thought I was in the ” experienced” category, but Mother Nature proved me wrong.
I love Run the Alps! It was my second trip and I hope to continue them each year if I can maintain my fitness and have the privilege of good health. The guides are delightful, fun, and knowledgeable. 🙂 So much good food! The scenery is beyond description – postcard perfect. You’ll try to take as many pictures as possible because your brain can’t make sense of the beauty, but the pics can’t capture what your brain is seeing. It’s magical! Honestly, best trip ever.
My high expectations were met. The pre-trip communication was excellent. The guides were experienced and kept the journey safe and incredibly fun! Hotels were comfortable, clean and a perfect refuge after a day on the trail. The experience of running around Mont-Blanc, staying in unique hotels, amazing breakfasts, dinners and the pure joy of being in the mountains is hard to put into words. I highly recommend this tour as a way to experience a truly special part of the world.
If you love to run, feel a calling to explore new places, be in the mountains, and leave all the logistical planning up to someone else, then don’t hesitate any more and sign up for Tour du Mont Blanc with Run the Alps today. This truly was a trip of a lifetime with the right balance of running, eating, trekking — all while making new friends. The guides are experts of the region, which made me feel in great hands the entire trip!
Another great experience on a Run The Alps trip! Emily and Mike designed and implemented an amazing experience for us from the trails to the hotels and the food, it was a fantastic trip.
Run the Alps put together a wonderful experience for me. They do much more than just booking hotels and providing maps. I went early in the season after a big snow winter, and Doug helped replan my routes as he got new information to make sure that I was safe. They were very responsive to questions I had during the tour. Logistics all went smoothly.
Run the Alps completely took the stress out of planning a running trip through 3 countries so all we had to do was show up, run and eat our way around Mt Blanc. The logistics were smooth, the hotels were great and unique, the communication and recommendations were perfect. It was a wonderful experience.
This is an excellent trail system to see the Swiss Alps. The views are always amazing and the variety of terrain made it a fun adventure. We had a tough time at Becs de Bosson because there was a band playing up there and they overbooked the hut. But other than that, many options to shorten the days if needed and truly a dream vacation for me.
Awesome trip! Running in places that look fake with great German style bier and strudel to break up the days sprinkled throughout the runs. Every hotel was amazing, the itinerary was very easy to understand with maps and check points save 1 and the distances were manageable even though we gained 3000ft at least most days.
Just finished the Via Valais and it exceeded my already high expectations. The views literally never stop, and only get better as the trip goes on. Run the Alps has the planning down to a T.
This adventure seemed unattainable for someone who does trail running just for fun. The challenge of the route is already daunting, but coupled with the logistics of lodging, transportation, bag transfers, meals, and course descriptions made it seem impossible! Run the Alps made it seamless so all we had to do was eat, drink, run and sleep! The app was particularly helpful throughout …an unexpected perk we really appreciated. We hardly used the actual maps at all.
The trip exceeded my expectations, which were admittedly high. I struggle to pick a favorite day because they were all incredible. As I made my way towards Chamonix on the final day, I was sad that the trip was ending, and I slowed down to savor every moment. Everyone at Run the Alps was helpful and knowledgeable, and the trip went as smoothly as possible. I’m already trying to decide which Run the Alps trip I want to do next.
I’ve never done a holiday / experience like this before and it exceeded my expectations. It was challenging and brutal but once in a lifetime. The whole itinerary was seamless, well organised and comms were constant and clear. I’d highly recommend using this team to plan this type of trip. Expert advice, well looked after!
I think that this was the best holiday we have ever had. Everything ran like clockwork. Our bags were always waiting for us and all the accommodation was good.
We had been planning for an Alps trip for 10 years, and we cannot imagine doing this trip without Run the Alps! Working with Steph was a breeze. She provided reassurance for all of our bookings, great advice for the towns, gear, transportation, you name it. The route Run the Alps curated was perfect, and we loved doing it self-guided. With the maps, daily run down of the routes, and the GPX files, it allowed us to be on our own schedule, but provided peace of mind.
We just returned from the Via Valais tour. We would definitely chose it again. Amazing scenery, great trail variety, wonderful hotels. I felt like every day was a new present. When we ran into weather problems one day, Doug kindly helped us come up with the perfect option that allowed us to still make it to our hut. We would not have been able to figure that out without Run the Alps guidance. Highly recommend them and their excellent service. Hope to get to work with them again!
My partner and I loved every minute of this trip! Our guides were incredible and you can tell that Run the Alps has worked hard to make the Tour du Mont Blanc a trip of a lifetime. We could not have been happier with the experience, highly recommend!
Words cannot even begin to describe the experiences I had running the self-guided TMB. Stephanie was an absolute rockstar in planning every detail. The trip blew me away and exceeded any and all expectations… from transportation to lodging… and most importantly those trails. Oh those trails are magnificent, challenging and breathtaking. The maps were easy to follow and the local information was priceless. Thank you for some of the best 5 days of my life!!
This was one of my favorite vacations for so many reasons. As I anticipated, the scenery was gorgeous, the mountains were spectacular, the trail running was amazing. An unexpected highlight for me was how much fun our group had together, laughing over shared meals, breaking out in an impromptu dance party, cramming into small rooms at the huts together.
I had a great experience! Both Chamonix and Champery were beautiful and great towns to visit and use as starting points for entry into the mountains. Hotels were comfortable and excellent places to stay. Our guide, Suze Walker, was knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour was an amazing introduction to the Alps for me. Run the Alps did a great job of organizing all aspects of the tour including accommodations, food, travel, equipment needs, etc. We had a wonderful guide, Suzanne Walker, who was very knowledgeable about the trails, geography, nature and culture of the Chamonix and Champery areas. She gave us a variety of trail experiences in terms of terrain and scenery. She was very responsive to the needs of the group.
Overall the trip was outstanding. The guides were top-notch, food was incredible, and trails were unbelievably special. My only complaint is that the chalet (Chalet Planards 1) was very hot at night – a few fans would be great. It also was not well stocked (soap, shampoo, etc.). Apart from that I would not have changed any of it!
I was ecstatic to see Run the Alps partner with The Mirnavator to do a slow running trip. As a slow runner, I often feel left out of the running community. This trip could not have been more perfect. Everything, from the guides to the accommodations to the food to the trails picked out for us, to the adaptations made for us slow runners was on point. We got to see so much of the Alps and experience the different cultures of France, Italy, and Switzerland. I will remember it forever.
My 12 day experience with Run the Alps far exceeded my expectation. The guides, Emily, Mike, & Sam, were knowledgeable, friendly, experienced, and fun. The scenery is breathtaking. The support on the trail was phenomenal. Everything went smoothly, allowing me to relax and enjoy the adventure!
I can’t say enough good things about this trip! Everything was well-organized. The accommodations were lovely. Our guide (Paul) was competent, kind, funny, and accommodating. Just a perfect running trip! Wouldn’t change a thing!
really had a lot of fun on this one. paul was excellent and it was nice travel and run with friends in an environment we all appreciated. book a trip, it won’t disappoint. excellent service from start to finish.
Via Valais was everything and more that I hoped it would be in a trail running adventure through the Alps. Truly spectacular. Each day built upon the last in a very nice sequence. I can’t say enough about Mark Brightwell as our guide. He led our group with confidence and demonstrated a wonderful amount of experience of the area and in the trails. He was able to read the group and support slower members as well as offer options to push stronger/more experienced runners.
I loved the ease of communication when I signed up. The way the trip was outlined made it easy to understand what I was getting in to, and Steph was always available to answer any questions. I was fortunate to join a group of 6 who were some of the most fabulous people I’ve yet to meet, and Mark, our guide made a lasting imprint on my life. Oh, let me not forget all the mind boggling running, views, laughter, food and lodging. This trip is most definitely not just about the run.
This was a fantastic trip. The perfect balance of a big adventure without having to do all the planning and logistics on your own. The route was amazing and the guides were a delight.
planning and pre-trip with the special attention by Steph and Doug really set up for a great and flawless it could be. then the in-help guidance coaching and fun by Sam and Gary made the trip memorable.
to add or change –
give the dail stats (distance, elevation, etc electronically and not read to us before dinner. Use technology to even show maps on our phones so we could go into the pre-dinner briefing with questions or discussions since we already have the details on the phone.
This trip was filled with magic and more. Was it the stunning views or flawless, fun and tough trails? Awesome, kind and knowledgeable guides or amazing tour mates? The fabulous food? It was all these things and more. It’s kind of hard to put into words how wonderful this trip was and how much it meant to me. One of the hardest things I’ve ever done but I’d do it over again ASAP! The Alps are true magic and I cannot wait to come back and see more. It’s not “goodbye”, it’s “I’ll be back”!
Run the Alps provided a really great way to tour the TMB while just wearing a running vest, I’m 66 I did the self guided tour with an old friend who I ran the UTMB with 10 Years ago, every thing worked just as they said it would, airport shuttles, bags dropped, room reservations, town and village info. good recommendations of what to see and eat while there, interesting side trips, they are all real pros, it was a perfect experience/adventure for us.
TMB was a 360 degree physical, emotional, spiritual experience I will never forget. Run the Alps managed it in a way that allows you to become fully emerged in the adventure. Alistair and Siebrig were knowledgable, caring and experienced guides. Luggage transfer was seamless and efficient. The lodging and transportation logistics all fantastic. If this has been on your list…do it. It will change you.
We had an amazing time in the Bernese Oberland! The views were of course stunning and our guide was so knowledgeable about the area. We stayed in beautiful hotels and ate incredibly delicious food! The runs were tough but the group was flexible on pace and everyone was very supportive.
First, our guide, Bruno Yates, was excellent. He shared fascinating stories about regional flora, fauna, geology and culture. We were a small group and Bruno did a superb job even with our different ability levels. The routes each day included many of the classic trails in the region. The logistics were spot on, including hotel accomodations, baggage transfers and transportation. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to experience this beautiful and rugged part of Switzerland.
Great week with great scenery, great cake, tarts, lunch and dinners and a perfect amount of running ❤️It
I had an incredible adventure. The weather was perfect for me and not too hot or cold. I highly recommend Giles and this tour. It was exactly what I wanted and more. The food is incredible!
If you want to truly experience the Alps in all its glory then Run the Alps is the way to go. The tour coordination of Run the Alps personnel from the start, during and end was excellent. Our guides knew how to push us to get the most out of our experience and the views on the different trails is breath-taking that words don’t do it justice. Everyday was new trail to conquer to create a lifelong memory!
This trip was amazing!! 10/10 recommend. It exceeded all my expectations (and they were high… I’d been looking forward to this holiday for a year)! Beckie and Siebrig (our guides) were brilliant – they managed to design routes that accommodated everyone, and there was always one of the guides at the back, giving encouragement and support.
The mountain huts and hotels all had their own charm and amazing breakfasts and dinners. The food on the trip was exceptional and the scenery was spectacular
Loved my experience from start to finish. Looking forward to a second tour.
We loved every minute of our our trip! Incredible scenery, challenging trails with lots of options, excellent guides, a great group, and delicious food! It was a life-changing adventure for us.
I think would have preferred: We stopped on the trail- A lot. All 8 dys. The first 1-2 dys, good to keep people togeth. The latter days, more freedom to go more our own pace. The trails are well marked. 1 midday meet point should be fine. Dinners build bond. I was said aloud on day 1, I enjoyed longer stops. By day 4, I did not want to stop so freqntly.
This also allows ppl to finish the day earlier, have more downtime.
I liked the sequence of the dys + the ‘shake out’ day. NoSpaceforMorePros!
I highly recommend Run the Alps for all your Alps Trail Running Needs. They made life SO easy and set my trip up for success. They picked ideal routes, lodging and made it all so easy and seamless. The team there is accommodating kind and super knowledgeable. 10/10 would recommend.
Run the Alps was a best-in-class experience all-around. It really met or exceeded my expectations from pre-booking all the way through. Super people throughout, including Steph, Giles, Coline.
This trip was at the top of my bucket list and it met/exceeding all of my expectations. I was impressed with everyone I interacted with from Run the Alps, from the team that set up all the logistics and answered all the questions to our guide Gary whom embodied the guide/sherpa spirit and also kept us entertained the entire way. I had considered the self-guided tour but glad I joined the group as the conversations on the trail and at meals were special as well.
Where to even begin? Absolutely exceeded my (high) expectations. Logistics were super smooth. Guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, supportive, and fun. They created an adventure that was inclusive for a group with a wide range of running backgrounds such that everyone got what they wanted/needed and was free to focus on pushing themselves where they wanted to, to learn about the natural landscape they were in, and to soak up the mountain and local cultures of the areas we explored.
How did we get here? What Run the Alps has Taught me over Ten Years
As Run the Alps celebrates its 10th Anniversary, Founder Doug Mayer looks back on the journey.
Mirnavator in the Alps
Smart, funny, endearing, our special guest Mirna Valerio also shatters trail running stereotypes. We can’t wait to run with “the Mirnavator” in the Alps!
Chamonix Topo Cap
Designed from scratch with friends here in Chamonix, we love our Run the Alps cap!
