The Hub FAQs
The Hub Chamonix is your home for trail running in the Chamonix valley. If it’s your first time visiting, you might be wondering how to get here, whether you can host a special event, cancellation policies, meals, or even if your company can partner with us. Here are your answers!
Got a question that’s not covered below? Drop us a note and we’ll come back to you as soon as we can.
This summer, The Hub will be open from June 12 to September 15, 2024. Rooms are available to check into by 1pm. Departure is 10am. Should you arrive earlier or have a delayed departure, you’re welcome to store bags in our downstairs storage space. The Hub Chamonix is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
The Hub is located in the charming village of Les Praz, Chamonix. It’s just a two-minute walk to the nearest bus stop and a 25-minute walk to the town center. For directions, please see Getting to The Hub.
Absolutely. The Hub is excellent for self-contained groups, with a variety of common spaces and all the usual amenities of a high-end chalet in the region. Contact us for special group pricing.
Yes! The Hub has two parking spaces, which need to be reserved during the reservation process. There is an additional 10 euros parking fee per day. Our parking schedule coincides with our check-in and check-out times. Please note, reserving a parking space at the time of booking does not guarantee availability. We will follow up directly to confirm after your request has been submitted.
Additional parking is available around town. These locations are also shared in our Welcome to The Hub Chamonix PDF, which is emailed to you before you arrive.
The Hub is for anyone with an interest in trail running. As a community, we welcome all trail runners – whether you’re taking those first tentative steps, or are an elite athlete with an eye on the UTMB podium.
Yes! We ask that Hub guests be respectful of other guests who might be sleeping, from 10 pm to 7 am.
The Hub does not provide meals, but private groups who use the chalet are of course welcome to arrange food service and catering as they wish. There are several restaurants and cafes located just a 10-minute walk away in the village of Les Praz, and many more a 25-minute walk away in Chamonix’s town-center (or less if you take one of the chalet’s complimentary bikes!). Our Community Manager will be on hand to share the inside scoop on our favorite places to eat.
We do provide shared refrigerator and freezer space, complimentary locally roasted coffee from our friends at Moody Coffee Roasters, and a variety of complimentary teas.
Yes, we do! When they’re not out on a trip, many of our Run the Alps guides offer one, two or three days of guiding in the region, including nearby locations in Switzerland and Courmayeur, Italy. You can book a guide using the Run the Alps guide booking form. Be sure to book in advance as our guides do get very booked up over the summer.
50% of your reservation cost is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Final payment is due in full two weeks before your first night’s stay. The credit card you use to make your deposit will be charged two weeks out.
Your reservations at The Hub can be canceled up to 30 days before your arrival date and you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival date, there will be a penalty equal to 50% of your total reservation cost.
Yes– and we even have special pricing for groups who want to book The Hub for exclusive use. Please contact us for pricing.
