Run the Alps put together a wonderful experience for me. They do much more than just booking hotels and providing maps. I went early in the season after a big snow winter, and Doug helped replan my routes as he got new information to make sure that I was safe. They were very responsive to questions I had during the tour. Logistics all went smoothly.
Why
Interested in UTMB, but doing it all at once seemed too daunting
Advice
Know roughly what you want to do, Run the Alps team is great at crafting the itinerary to your needs. Also, download the gpx files and learn how to use them with your gps watch. They saved me many times from getting lost.
Highlight
Food along the way, and in towns, especially Courmeyeur and Chamonix
