The trip exceeded my expectations, which were admittedly high. I struggle to pick a favorite day because they were all incredible. As I made my way towards Chamonix on the final day, I was sad that the trip was ending, and I slowed down to savor every moment. Everyone at Run the Alps was helpful and knowledgeable, and the trip went as smoothly as possible. I’m already trying to decide which Run the Alps trip I want to do next.
Why
I have always wanted to do the TMB and a self-guided option was perfect. I could go at my own pace and according to my own schedule each day and not have to worry about any logistics or planning.
Advice
Take your time and enjoy each day. Stop for coffee and snacks along the way and take full advantage of everything the region has to offer.
Highlight
It’s impossible to pick because it was all amazing. The last day’s run into Chamonix was special and gorgeous but also bittersweet because the trip was coming to an end.
