Barrhorn 3K Skyrace
The Barrhorn 3K Skyrace is a breathtaking yet formidable alpine race, covering 24 kilometers with a staggering 3,176 meters of elevation gain, leading runners to the summit of the Barrhorn at 3,610 meters, which is officially the highest hiking trail in the Alps. With technical paths and exposed ridgelines, it presents a true test of strength and endurance, even for experienced mountain runners. A slightly shorter 10 kilometer route with 1,800 meters of elevation gain is also available for those seeking a rigorous yet slightly less extreme challenge, while still offering spectacular views and terrain.
For those who want to experience the stunning alpine views without the competitive atmosphere of the races, the event also offers the Skywalk versions of both courses, non-competitive hiking options that allow participants to enjoy the dramatic scenery and mountain atmosphere at their own pace.
