Becca di Nona
The Becca di Nona Skyrace is a challenging, high-altitude trail race in Italy’s Aosta Valley, first held in 2002. The race covers 13 kilometers with a demanding 2,500-meter elevation gain. Starting at 580 meters in Aosta, the course reaches the summit of Becca di Nona at 3,142 meters. Known for its technical terrain and steep climb, the skyrace offers breathtaking, scenic views of the Alps. Runners must navigate rugged and rocky trails, making it a true test of fitness and mountain running skills. The event has added a longer course, the Emilius 3559, and again in 2026 will offer a kids’ race and a women’s only 5 km for breast cancer, the Becca Pink. 2026 will also be the first edition of a 7.15 km, night race with 1,200 meters of elevation gain.
