La Patrouille de la Dôle

The Patrouille de la Dôle takes place in Switzerland’s Jura mountains, just outside of Geneva and very nearly on the shores of Lake Geneva. The race starts in the village of Givrins, Switzerland. At the base of this iconic mountain range, Givrins is known for its panoramic views of Lake Geneva.
The event has two challenges. The Grand Relais, a 39 kilometer course with 1,760 meters of elevation gain, takes participants on a journey through forests and along alpine pastures with views of the Jura range. Reaching the summit of La Dôle at 1,672m, runners are rewarded with big vistas before embarking on a technical descent back to Givrins. The Grand Relais can be completed by teams of three, dividing the route into relay segments, or by solo competitors.
For a shorter challenge, the Petit Relais spans 28 kilometers with 1,068 meters of elevation gain. This course showcases the natural beauty of the Jura region while running over a shorter and less technical route, making it ideal for teams of two or individuals looking for a less demanding experience.
