Training for Trail Running in the Alps

Will I be able to keep up?

Am I fit enough?

How do I train for one of your trips?

These are very common concerns we hear from trail runners who come on our trips.

The good news is that if you’re willing to spend a little bit of time getting ready, you’ll find those fears are unfounded. Training for the specific challenges of the Alps and arriving with the fitness appropriate to your tour level will help you enjoy your trip even more.

However you prepare, here’s our promise to you: No one will ever get left behind on our trips, and we are here to help you get ready!

The simplest way to train is to crank up the angle on the treadmill at your gym, or add a few more hills to your trail run. (Need something to distract you at the gym? Head over to our YouTube channel for plenty of Alps-inspired content!)

If you think you might benefit from a little extra help, we’ve got plenty of resources for you below.
