See Run the Alps Staff in a New Trail Running Film

This past summer was unlike any other– many trips and events in our trail running world were cancelled or rescheduled due to the Covid-19 virus.

But, when doors close, others open. That was certainly the case with this next story. Three member of Run the Alps– Founder Doug Mayer, Tour Manager Steph Lefferts, and Ambassador Mike Ambrose— created a remarkable trail running adventure in the mountain hamlet of Le Tour, France, just about ten kilometers above Chamonix, France, not far from the Swiss border.

Along with their adventure came a new trail running documentary, Every Single Street: Le Tour, produced by Chamonix, France-based filmmaker Katie Moore of Yak Media, who has worked with Kilian Jornet, among many other trail runners.

The film also features cameo appearances from Salomon athletes Rickey Gates and Mimmi Kotka, and Black Diamond athlete and Run the Alps Ambassador Hillary Gerardi.

And, well, the reviews just blew us away:

“Raw. Gritty. Gut Wrenching. This will go down in the annals of adventure as the truly epic running feat of our time. And only on croissants and cappuccinos? Brilliant!”— David Laney, Nike athlete, 3rd place finisher, Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc, 2015

“A spark of genius developed into an EPIC running goal.  A must see for all trail runners that are looking for a little inspiration.” — Scott Warr, Co-Host, Trail Runner Nation podcast

“The combination of contending with heavy traffic, route planning dilemmas and quite frankly the sheer density of streets to cover make running Le Tour’s myriad of thoroughfares a truly formidable undertaking. Chapeau!” — Holly Page, Adidas Terrex trail runner, winner of Montana’s The Rut Skyrace, 2018

And, now here it is! Grab some popcorn, kick back, and enjoy this dramatic short documentary– then tell us in the comments below what you thought.
