A bit about me

I absolutely love running. Trail running has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and has always been core to my fitness and mental health. Once I left the Army, I found myself craving challenges to go further and higher. Eventually it led me to completing UTMB Mont Blanc twice and set the foundation for a sport that truly makes me happy. It’s such a wonderful way to connect with nature and the environment.

My other life
I’ve been lucky enough to lead expeditions all over the world from fatbiking in Greenland to trekking in Afghanistan, as well as leading climbing expeditions in the high mountains of the Himalayas.

Between running trips and races, I also manage my own leadership, team building and mentoring business. This brings the best leadership elements of my various experiences into the outdoors where I help others define their own leadership style.

In my free time

Running, climbing and mountaineering with my wife Lucy is always fun and, occasionally, I can be found gardening or renovating our small home here in the Chamonix valley.

Fun fact

I summited Everest in spring 2022.

Favorite Alp trail run

I get so much pleasure just running from my front door into the mountains of the Fiz above Servoz. There are so many trails that connect our village to the Aiguilles Rouges and the Chamonix Valley, and they are all beautiful. If I had to pick, it would probably be the traverse from the village of Buet back home to Servoz, via the Col de Salenton.

Guiding since
I’ve been guiding trips in the Alps since 2018.
