Description
This challenging short race began in 2017 just outside of Martigny, east of Geneva in the region of Valais. This unique trail starts from Vernayaz, first climbing up to Geuroz where it crosses one of the highest bridges in Europe. The route then follows the gorges and crosses the River Trient. The last climb goes up to traverse the village of Salvan and its mill, and then from here it’s the final descent via the Road of Diligences with its famous 37 ‘laces’ – or thigh testing zig zags! This is a very local race with great prizes including local wines, sausages and chopping boards!
