Description
The Hospice du Petit-Saint-Bernard, northwest of Bourg St Maurice in France, and on the France-Italy border, is the start and finish of these two mountain races. Starting just on the French side of the border, the 40km race takes participants on a course over three mountain passes above 2500 meters and into Italy. This race can also be run as a relay of two. The 60km race is described as technical and aerial, therefore not recommended for people suffering from vertigo! The races takes place in the fall, before the snow arrives to these high mountain trails.
