The Chaîne des Fiz is a band of striking gray cliffs opposite the Mont-Blanc massif. Behind the cliffs is the Désert de Platé, a flat expanse of beautiful, rippling limestone. This run cuts through the cliffs on rugged, remote trails. It’s an adventurous, full-on route through boulder fields and notches and down narrow, echoey gorges.
