There’s comfort food—in the Alps, that’s rösti in Switzerland, tartiflette in France, and polenta bramata with Valdostana cheese in northern Italy. Then, there’s comfort clothing, and after a long trail run, for that, we turn to our Run the Alps hoodie.
For a few years, we had been in search of the perfectly cozy hoodie, when our friend Jeff Boggess, co-creator of Trail Butter (to which the entire Run the Alps crew is addicted) showed up in Chamonix for UTMB®. He was wearing the perfect sweatshirt, and when he wasn’t looking, we passed it around the Run the Alps Hub. It’s cozy, with plenty of room, a drawstring hood, and big pockets to warm chilly fingers. When the fall rolls around in the Alps, and there’s a dusting of snow above 2,000 meters, we start wearing ours all the time!
Our hoodie is made by Alternative Apparel, a US-based company with a focus on sustainability that maintains high social standards in their manufacturing. They use organic cotton and recycled packaging.
